Join us for Masquerade in the Cemetery on October 27

Please join us on Sunday, October 27 for our annual Halloween Masquerade in the Cemetery, sponsored by the Conyngham Valley Historical Society. 

The event begins at 4 p.m. in the Conyngham Episcopal Cemetery, 215 Main Street. It's free and open to the public and will be held rain or shine! In case of inclement weather, activities will be held indoors at the Borough building.

It won't be too spooky or scary, just good old fashioned Halloween fun, featuring bewitching tails, "masquerade" crafts, painted pumpkins, tricky trays and light refreshments. Bring a blanket or chair for the tales!

CVHS Announces Summer Concerts at the Gazebo Schedule

The Conyngham Valley Historical Society is happy to announce its “Summer Concerts at the Gazebo” schedule.

The first concert on June 23^rd will feature Cindie Gunderman performing music from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. 

On July 21^st, Tony Angelo will be at the Gazebo performing oldies tunes from the 50’s, 60 & 70’s. 

On July 28^th the St. Ann’s Band will be on stage performing a wide variety of tunes including oldies, show tunes and marches. 

On August 11^th, the popular duo, “The Two of Us”, will be performing music from golden oldies to more recent tunes.

The Gazebo is located on the grounds of the Conyngham Borough Building at 215 Main Street. All concerts will begin at 6 PM and are free and open to the public. Restroom facilities will be available. Please bring a blanket or chair and prepare to enjoy an evening of great entertainment. A "free will" collection will be taken to help defray the costs.

Annual Mother's Day Afternoon Tea will be held May 5

Join us for our annual Mother's Day Afternoon Tea on Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at the Conyngham Borough Building (215 Main Street in Conyngham).

Tickets are $15 each and must be purchased in advance; reservations are limited. Please call 570-582-9028 and leave a message.

Freshly brewed tea and a selection of savories and sweets will be served. There will be a short presentation, and door prizes will be awarded.
